In the past month, I have been pondering on the phrase 'normalize awesome'. So, what does that mean to you? Well, I realized that I have been privy to an incredible life. The morning after I was born to missionary parents in the town of Share, Nigeria, the Yoruba nationals brought gifts and trinkets to me and named me Olorun Funmilaya, which means, God gave us joy. Yes! I was born to bring joy to people, to live life to the fullest and it is part of everything I do from sharing my faith, to writing and directing and performing, or hosting a ladies tea or laughing and playing with my grandkids or helping create healthier lives with Shaklee. That has always been the norm for me.
But I have to tell you that for the first 20 years of my life, I thought 'normal' was to get colds and flu and run out of energy. I'm sure you've been there many times too. Well, after making some simple changes in our home and lifestyle with Shaklee products, I learned that it didn't have to be the norm . I could feel awesome, and enjoy a healthy life and a healthy home. We experienced firsthand the transformations from poor immune systems and lack of energy to vibrant health. But one of the best products was the business because we were both able to leave teaching and make it normal for our sons to have their parents home and very involved in their lives. And it was normal for them to be healthy and well and not miss school because of sickness. And it's normal for me to be able spend my time living out my life purpose.
